As you are probably aware we have been installing
in the Hampshire area now for over 20 years. We
are proud of hundreds of installations we have
carried out in a professional manner, backed up
we believe by our unequalled after sales service.
Energy Efficient Windows
The government has set itself a specific target
of ensuring all new homes built
after 2016 are zero carbon in addition to the
general requirement of an overall
carbon emission reduction in line with the Kyoto
agreement. To achieve this,
houses will need to be far more thermally efficient
than they are currently.
To highlight this topic and enable a system which
can be understood by all, BFRC (British Fenestration
Rating Council) energy rated products have been
introduced.
Based on a rating of A-G (A being the best), windows
are rated by taking into
account not only the ‘U’ value of
the window but also the positive solar gain by
the use of specialist glass and the air leakage
of the window.
|
This combination
ensures a more realistic approach to rating than
considering just the ‘U’ value.

BFRC WER (Window Energy Rating) is a system specifically
for windows and
follows the same principle for white goods and
other energy schemes.
